Truck Driving CDL Training

Midlands Technical College has partnered with XTRA MILE DRIVER TRAINING, INC. in the midlands region to develop a comprehensive training program that will prepare candidates for a career in commercial truck driving. The program includes classroom and highway instruction. Graduates will receive a Class A Commercial Driver's License and be prepared for employment with local, regional and national trucking companies. Students must be 18 years of age in SC (21 to drive in all states), possess a valid driver's license, pass a DOT Physical administered in class, pass a DOT drug screen administered in class, have an acceptable criminal record, a good work history, provide a ten year motor vehicle report and be able to converse in English. Prior to registration at MTC, students must complete an interview with a certified XTRA MILE admissions representative and fully understand program details. New classes start on the following dates: 9/17/07, 10/15/07, 11/12/07, 1/14/08, 2/11/08, 3/10/08, 4/7/08, 5/5/08, 6/2/08, 6/30/08, 7/28/08, 8/25/08, 9/22/08, 10/20/08, 11/17/08.
