Patient Care Technician
To meet the demands for cost-effectiveness, expanded access, and higher-quality care, health care delivery systems are hiring persons with interdisciplinary training credentials. Health care practitioners that possess multiple skills will be prepared to apply for these jobs. To meet this need, the college has developed a 236-hour certificate programs designed to prepare students for an entry-level position in a medical office, hospital or other health care setting. To earn the certificate, students must successfully complete the courses listed below within a two-year period. Medical Terminology is a required prerequisite for EKG and Phlebotomy with a minimum passing score of C. Required courses can be taken in any order and more than one course can be taken at a time if scheduling permits.
