CompTIA Certification Courses
A+ Certification, a testing program sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), certifies the competency of service technicians in the computer industry. Major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications back the program. To become certified, an individual must pass two tests, the A+ core and the operating system. Candidates who pass both modules within 90 days receive CompTIA certification. A+ exams are administered by the Computer Testing Center, a VUE testing site, on Harbison Campus.
These two courses prepare students for both A+ certification exams, and are useful for those interested in a career in computer support or who want to build and support their own PCs.
This course covers PC components, miscellaneous hardware, installation and configuration, DOS, safety, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repairing microcomputer hardware.
