Health Information Technician
The Health Information Technology certificate encompasses all areas of medical billing and coding that are required to perform these functions in a private office setting. HIT personnel are responsible for accurately coding procedures, itemizing diagnostic services and equipment/supply usage, and billing patients so that clinicians are paid accordingly.
