Learn symbols, terminology and abbreviations associated with reading construction plans. Learn about construction of floors, walls, ceilings, and roof framing, stairs, roof coverings, windows, doors, wall coverings, cabinets and trim, documentation, permits, licenses, footings, foundations, slabs. Concrete and masonry are covered through multimedia classroom presentations. Learn the current state adopted "International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings", business management, licensing laws, contracts, insurance, bonding, safety laws, labor laws, tax laws, and management issues involved in construction.
